- Registered Sceneum account information: email address and authentication information for your login such as password.
- Personal Information: first and last name, postal address, phone number, date of birth, account credentials, gender, and date of birth.
- User-Generated Content: films, images, videos, text, and comments you upload or submit to the platform.
- Device and Technical Information: IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, and website usage.
- Financial Information: payment details for transactions or subscriptions, payment history, and billing address.
- Cookies and Tracking Technologies: behavioral data collected through cookies, pixels, and analytics tools.
- Advertising information: information about the ads on Sceneum that you view or interact with.
- Communication Data: your interactions with support, emails, and feedback.
How We Use Your Information

- Provide access to our platform, services, and community features.
- Provide personalized recommendations for Sceneum content.
- Allow filmmakers to upload, store, and showcase their films.
- Promote submitted content across our platform, partner channels, and marketing materials
- Send marketing and informational messages including news and promotional communications, and deliver Advertisements.
- Process payments, manage subscriptions, and provide customer support.
- Enable participation in festivals, competitions, and community discussions.
- Monitor and improve our services, detect fraud, and enhance security.
- Comply with legal and regulatory obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.
Filmmaker Content & Licensing
When filmmakers submit content to Sceneum, they do so voluntarily and retain full ownership of their intellectual property. By submitting a film, you grant Sceneum a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, stream, display, and promote the film for a period of two (2) years. This includes use in advertising, social media, festival promotions, and public platform discussions. Filmmakers can request removal of content at any time, though some uses (e.g., previously published promotions) may persist.
Information Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal data. We may share your personal data only under the following circumstances:
- With trusted third-party service providers (e.g., hosting services, payment processors, analytics providers, cloud storage services, and customer support platforms).
- With marketing partners only analytics.
- In the context of business transfers such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
- With legal authorities when required to comply with the law or protect rights, safety, or security.
Data Retention and Deletion
We retain personal data for as long as is necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy or to comply with legal requirements. Films and associated user content are retained for up to two (2) years unless a longer term is agreed. Security Measures

While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials.
